As I am a CUKC faculty member, I would think the University has had a profound impact on my life. Growing up I had two friends who had fathers that were CUKC alumni and faculty. This was the main reason for my interest in chiropractic. One of those doctors was Dr. Doran Nicholson, a well-known DACBR, and past president of the Missouri State Chiropractic Association. The other was former faculty member, and current Board of Trustees member, Dr. Joseph Bowles. They were extremely impactful to me becoming not only a D.C., but also pursuing a faculty role here at CUKC. I have many of my own interns who have gone on to graduate and do great things. I like to think I had an impact on those doctors. After all, that’s why I took this role, to create a ripple effect at the source of a young doctor’s education.
